I think the colour would look lovely contrasting with dark blue jeans.

Did I mention it was a doddle to sew?

Quick too, no hems! I went ahead and finished it with French seams, and the whole project from tracing to wearing took a morning.

Still busy sewing- cheers!

Very cute! I love the sleeves!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I skipped July's Burda issue; maybe I need to reconsider?!
ReplyDeleteI love that color. Not orange, not peach, not rust....but sort of all 3. It's one of my fave colors, and I agree, it looks great with blue denim :) Very cute on you!
ReplyDeleteThats lovely, I love pussybow tops :)
ReplyDeleteLovely. I am putting this one on my summer list, but may have just a tiny bit of trouble finding raw silk in this perfect colour ;) it looks rather luxurious.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, it looks great on you.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a perfect summer top and raw silk is a great choice. I can see many of these in my future!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful top! Love the colour. Love the bow.
ReplyDeleteLove that colour, Karin. It's a lovely top - and so quick to make up, too!
ReplyDeleteIsn`t it wonderful that you took a fabric you didnt like and turned it into such a winner. I think the colour is lovely - a browny apricot, and the little bow makes the top adorable. Hopefully this is a sign that burda is improving ?
ReplyDeleteSweet! Projects like these are so satisfying! I agree, the color is awesome and will look great with dark blue denim.
ReplyDeleteIt is absolutely lovely, and I agree, that colour is yummy!! Love the whole pussycat bow thing you have happening lately; you are really rocking this trend. :)
ReplyDeletesimple but really lovely, I'm sure fabric choice and colour have helped with your success.
ReplyDeleteI came back to comment on this top. Gee it is soooo lovely and I love the colour! You're right - perfect with jeans. It looks fabulous on and I must remember it for our summer.
ReplyDeleteYour top looks lovely and I feel a bit more enthusiastic about going to collect my July Burda from the newsagents now!
ReplyDeleteI like your top! it's cute! I love the bow!
ReplyDeleteKarin, it's a gorgeous top and colour. It's great that it was so quick to make, and I love that you sewed French seams :-)
ReplyDeleteThat really looks wonderful, both on and off! Definitely a win.
ReplyDeleteYou've sold me on this pattern. I saw a great version on the Russian site just now, but yours is even better. Lovely color, great matching with the cropped pants, and so much your vivacious fresh style!

Oh my, the color of that top is absolutely gorgeous! It's such a soft and pretty orange. And I bet it feels fabulous on, being silk and all.
ReplyDeleteIt's times like these when you know all that effort you've put into learning how to sew well pay off (i.e. you can make it instead of buy it). It's a lovely top and the color is very...sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteIt turned out just beautifully! Great job! I love sewing! Really nice color for a blouse, too! =)
ReplyDeleteKristina J.
I just looked through the July issue and totally missed this top. So cute. Lovely color and style.
ReplyDeleteYou eat grits in the UK? Or is that a stupid question? They are dirt cheap here, wish I could send you a case!
ReplyDeleteThis such a lovely top, and the color is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove this top. Beautiful color and style.
ReplyDeleteI like the color. I just started getting the magazine and this is about the only thing I thought I might make from it. Looks cute,
ReplyDeleteThe fabric has such gorgeous drape! I love the bow at the front :) Toast? Indeed! Yum :)
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this pattern!
