| Hat and Scarf |
The hat is another free Ravelry pattern. I needed to use up an odd ball of Rowan Big Wool left over from my cardigan project. This tam was just the answer. It looks a bit old fashioned and conservative, but I like that it doesn't flatten my hair down like skull cap. When I get to where I am going, I can take this hat off and not worry that my hair is a mess. The pattern is called the Fisherman's Wife Beret; you can find it on Ravelry.

Hi Karin! Really lovely and warm. I should need one of those to keep my hair hidden in style! Ravelry, of course! Iknew of this site, but couldn´t remember the name, and I want to learn some knitting so your post came very handy. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteI repeat: very stylish. Love it.
Lovely job on the hat and cowl, you look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the hat. I don't think it looks old fashioned at all. Looks artsy to me.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the hat is really pretty. And it doesn't crush the hair!! Got to love that for sure.
ReplyDeleteThe cowl is gorgeous! That yarn is absolutely perfect for it. I love the drape of it, there's no stiffness, it just looks buttery soft!
Cosy and warm and you'll need them this weekend.
ReplyDeleteYay! The scarf looks great! And the non-hair flattening hat!
ReplyDeleteBoth are Gorgeous. Were I not about to jump in the pool with my Beau's nieces to escape the heat, I'd be rummaging around for my knitting needles!
ReplyDeleteBrrr looks cold over there! Your hat and cowl look toasty warm and lovely on you.
ReplyDeleteI just love the Gaptastic Cowl pattern. Every time I've made one, one of my girls grabs it right off my neck!
